Fort William and Glencoe day tour

The attractive and bustling town of Fort William is located at the head of Loch Linnhe and surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. It is just over three hundred years old. The old village, which was little more than a cluster of poorly built ‘black’ houses, grew up further to the north under the protection of Inverlochy Castle. The present Fort William, the largest town in the West Highlands, has numerous shops including supermarkets (Tescos and Morrison’s), Scottish gift shops, hiking shops and a wide variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes catering for just about anything the visitor is likely to need. The sheer beauty and breathtaking serenity of Glencoe is very often obscured by the history, myths and legend that the Glen’s name invokes. As the seasons pass so does the ever changing sky and the colours that flood across the massive angular peaks. Glencoe is without doubt one of Europe's scenic highlights. Depart Ayr 08:00, Prestwick 08:10, Troon 08:20, Irvine 08:35 and Kilmarnock 08:50
