RAF Leuchars Air Show
The RAF Leuchars Airshow is the last official military Airshow of its type in Scotland and one of only three in the UK. The Royal Air Force base, situated near the historic town of St Andrews, will host this unique event with spectacular flying displays which will feature The Red Arrows, Typhoon, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a variety of aircraft from around the world. The Airshow will also demonstrate the RAF’s operational capability by featuring a role demonstration and static displays as well as simulators, an arena featuring dog displays, dance demonstrations and RAF Leuchars Pipe Band. There will be many other exciting forms of entertainment during this fun filled family event including a Funfair, and the extremely popular Scottish Fair featuring Scottish businesses and craft stalls with everything from paintings to fudge. As an official military show the RAF Leuchars Airshow is a self financing event with surplus funds being donated to chosen charities. Depart Ayr 07:00, Prestwick 07:10, Troon 07:20, Irvine 07:35 and Kilmarnock 07:50 and travel direct to the Air Show at RAF Leuchars arriving approximately 11:00. Depart Leuchars approximately 17:30 and return direct to Ayrshire with possibly a short comfort stop en route. Arrive Kilmarnock 20:30 and Ayr 21:30.
