Oban and Inveraray via Loch Lomond side, day tour

On sunny, summer day, Oban, set in a spectacular sheltered bay with curving shores and wooded hills, has a very attractive atmosphere. There’s relaxation and enjoyment to be had by simply strolling along the bustling waterfront looking in the shop windows or pausing to admire the boats in the bay. Oban’s most outstanding feature is the Coliseum look-a-like, McCaig's Tower, that stands above the town and features in many of the postcards. The Oban Distillery, unusual in being located in the heart of a busy town, is well worth a visit. Depart Ayr 08:00, Prestwick 08:10, Troon 08:20, Irvine 08:35 and Kilmarnock 08:50 and continue past Glasgow, via Erskine Bridge and Loch Lomond for approximately 10:00 and 45 minute break. Continue via Crianlarich, past Loch Awe to arrive Oban, depending on traffic conditions, approximately 13:00. Depart Oban 15:00 and travel to Inveraray for approximately 16:00. Depart Inveraray 17:30 and return via Luss/Balloch (short break 20 minutes) arriving in Kilmarnock 20:00, Ayr 21:00
